Some Say That's Progress

Updated: Jul 10, 2022

The past several days have been busy. The ebook and paperback versions of Young Blood have gone live on Amazon, and while I'm annoyed with how blurry the "Look Inside" sample for the paperback is (this is a common problem with no easy way to fix it, from what I've been able to find out), I can confirm that the actual printed book does not have the same issue.

It was such a surreal, wonderful experience to finally hold my book in my hands, to flip back and forth through the pages, to see my words truly in print like I'd always imagined. And considering how long it took to get to this point, from initial conception of the idea to actual delivery of the book's first printing to my doorstep, well, let's just say that it was a moment. I'll talk more in a future blog entry about the history and development of the entire thing, but I wanted to follow up on the progress I've made with this website.

As you can see, I've fleshed out the site quite a bit, and I've mostly gotten things how I want them for now. The home page now includes info on both the first book and the trilogy itself, which will be added to as new volumes come out. I've also added a Where to Buy page, which currently only has links to the two formats available on Amazon. In time, this should expand to include other distributors. I'm still waiting for the audiobook to be approved and greenlit; it should have been by now, but as I mentioned last time, there are a lot of hoops to jump through.

It's because of this that I haven't done much promotion of the book yet apart from some posts on Twitter; I'd rather wait until all three formats are available so that people will have a full choice of which one to purchase depending on their preferences.

Until next time…
